Uhhh.... You do know you CAN'T subtract (a-b) from both sides? You'd have to divide, which you can't do either, because since you've assigned values to the variables, and (a-b) = 0, you'd be dividing by 0, which is impossible and gives you an answer of undefined immediately.

The 64DD, I'm guessing, is the Nintendo 64 Disk Drive, which I know absolutely nothing about other than that it exists. I don't feel like checking your math, so I won't.

(a-b) = 0 is a linear function which means it's basically worthless. The domain and range of the equation is all real numbers, so, yes, you still need more defining characteristics to be able to say 2=1.
